I work with an integrative approach, tailoring the counselling to your unique individual needs, as I believe there is no 'one size fits all':
I'm Person-Centred at my core - focusing on offering genuine empathy, unconditional positive regard, respecting autonomy, and allowing individuals to explore and make meaning of their personal experiences.
I use aspects of the Humanistic approach - focusing on your experiences, feelings and ability to grow.
I use aspects of the Psychodynamic approach - focusing on how your past experiences and unconscious thoughts currently affect you, including working with dreams.
I use aspects of CBT - focusing on the connection between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Providing tools to help you reach your goals.
I use aspects of Gestalt - focusing on the present moment, self-awareness and personal responsibility.
Alongside my therapeutic styles and experience, my lived-experience with trauma, eating disorders, anxiety and neurodivergence deepens my understanding of these issues, how difficult this feels, and how to support individuals through this.
I offer 50-minute 1-1 sessions in-person in Downend, Bristol, or via video call, or telephone call if preferred.
Sessions are £45 for online day times.
Sessions are £50 for in-person, evenings and weekends.
I also initially offer the below:
1)A free 15 minute telephone call. This can be an opportunity to ask questions, see if the counselling is a right fit for you, and to find out more about how I work.
Or
2)An optional 30-minute initial video call session for £20, a taster session to see if the counselling is right for you.
I offer weekly sessions, and sometimes fortnightly sessions depending on availability.
If this is a service you or someone else would be interested in, please do get in touch and we can work through this together:
